Overnight restrictions on water supply are to remain in place in Tipperary town for the foreseeable future. Uisce Eireann says that due to the volume of water being lost to leaks, the night time restrictions, which began on Friday night, are being put in place to ensure regular day time supply can be maintained for customers.
The water pressure will be reduced each evening from 10pm to 5am to allow local reservoir levels to recharge. The company says Leak Detection and Repair crews are working in the town to identify and repair the leaks. Once the leakage is reduced, normal water pressure will be restored.
