A new two bay EV charging point is now operating in the Abbey Street car park. The unit is managed by EasyGo in collaboration with Tipperary County Council. There are also two ESB EV Charging points in the Abbey Street car park and charging points are also available at LIDL, Tipperary town Credit Union, Tesco and at the Plaza on the Limerick road.

A new bus shelter has been installed on Abbey street near SuperValu. The roof on the shelter is yet to be installed and passengers using the Route 55 and Route 855 services have queried if the park bench and  bin that were   in place prior to the upgrade works will be restored. A second bus shelter is partially installed  on the Link Road – when this is completed the existing bus stop on Abbey street serving Westbound buses  will be discontinued.

20 flexible bollards have been installed on the back of the barracks road leading under Longford bridge to the N24 by Tipperary  County Council  to create a pedestrian walking space. The council conducted a trial to assess if there was space to make a delineated pedestrian route which is popular with walkers making a loop of the town. Flooding issues have been reported on the route as it passes under the bridge.
