Gardaí arrested a woman in her 60’s following a seizure by Revenue of suspected cannabis, estimated at €480,000, at Shannon Airport on Sunday April 7th.
Revenue officers seized 23 kgs of herbal cannabis and 3.3 kgs of cannabis resin, which was discovered within luggage. The woman arrested by Gardaí was detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in the Clare area.
Both Garda and Revenue Investigations into the seizure are ongoing.
