Tipperary County Council has appointed a Conservation Architect. The role is to be filled by Mr Eamon Hunter. In recent years the council has had such services provided on a retainer contract basis but given the need to have such support available to assist with regeneration and the protection of listed structures in the county, councillors have pressed the Council Executive to appoint a full time conservation architect.
Cllr Anne Marie Ryan has welcomed the progress saying the role can help property owners to restore and maintain their buildings and assist owners to avail of Government Schemes that provide financial support to maintain structures and to bring properties back into use.
