Cashel Garda Station Refurbishment To Start In The Coming Weeks

The refurbishment of Cashel Garda Station on Hogan Square, Cashel will commence in the coming weeks and is being overseen by the Office of Public Works.

Garda operations at the station are to end tomorrow Thursday November 23rd to facilitate the refurbishment works which includes new telecommunications facilities and EV charging points. During the refurbishment period, An Garda Síochána’s public office will be located at the Old Motor Tax Office at the former Council office on Friar Street, Cashel.

The temporary Garda station will only be open to the public for 10 hours per week – on Monday and Tuesday afternoon between 1.30pm and 4pm and on Friday mornings from 8am to 1pm. The public are advised that the Cashel Garda station telephone line will divert to Cahir Garda station and that in the event of any emergency the public should call 999 or 112.

Cashel Based TD Martin Browne is welcoming confirmation of arrangements for Cashel Town Garda Station during renovation works. The TD says the works on the Hogan Square Building are to be completed by Summer 2024.  Deputy Browne is engaging with the Minister for Justice to seek longer opening hours in the temporary Garda office on Friar street for the period of the renovations.
