The Apple farm at Moorstown near Cahir is to host a panel discussion about food on Sunday at noon. The event will feature contributions from Ireland south Green Party MEP Grace O’Sullivan and Thomas Waitz an MEP for Austria and Co- Chair of the European Green party. Mr Waitz is also a farmer, forester and bee keeper.
The discussion is to examine the need to reshape the food system for all stakeholders – farmers, consumers and the environment. The free event begins at noon at the Apple Farm operated by Con Traas. The farm produces apples, apple juice, soft fruits and includes a bottling plant used by other food producers across the country. The farm on located on the N24 between Cahir and Clonmel – the Eircode is E21 YX33
