Sinn Féin TD for Tipperary, Martin Browne is calling on Independent TD Michael Lowry to say if he intends to vote for Simon Harris as the next Taoiseach on 9th April. The Cashel based TD also repeated a call for a general election given the performance of the government especially on housing and healthcare.

Deputy Browne is highlighting that Deputy Lowry has supported the coalition government – in the votes for Leo Varadkar and Michael Martin for Taoiseach and in every vote of confidence to date.

Deputy Browne says the people in Tipperary deserve to know where Deputy Lowry stands on the new leader of Fine Gael.  Simon Harris has been meeting with members of the Regional Independents Dáil Grouping  of TDs in advance of next Tuesdays Dáil vote on his nomination as Taoiseach.
