Applicants for social housing using the online choice based letting portal are failing to correctly record their expression of interest according to the Housing Section of Tipperary County Council.
Each week the council posts homes that are available for suitably qualified and registered candidates on the social housing list.
The Council has uploaded details of homes in Kilfeacle, Mullinahone and Donohill on the platform this week with a Monday March 11th deadline for expressions of interest.
To assist people to fully complete the checkout process to properly register their interest the Council have now posted two videos on the |Council website.   One is a demonstration for mobile phone users and the second “a how to” demonstration for desktop, tablet and laptop users. Full details can be viewed at this link here
The properties this week include a 3 bed house in Kilfeacle, a 3 bed house in Donohill and a 2 bed house in Mullinahone.  Persons will only be able to view and express interest in a home for which they are approved in terms of size. A successful applicant who refuses a Choice Based Letting offer will not be eligible for consideration for another Choice Based Letting Unit for a period of one year and the council stresses that under the Choice Based Letting Scheme only the successful candidates will be notified
