Cashel Lions Club is currently inviting nominations for the Cashel Person of the Year 2024 – with Friday March 8th the closing date for nominations. Any person interested in making a nomination should contact [email protected] or contact a member of Cashel Lions Club.
A person can be nominated by a club or individual submitting a summary of the nominee’s contribution to the quality of local life. The applications are then reviewed and the nominators will have an opportunity to meet with the panel of judges to discuss the contribution made by their nominee and the reason why this person should be selected as Cashel Person of the Year 2024.
The winner will be revealed at the Award Ceremony scheduled for March 14th at Hall na Feile.
The Award is presented annually to recognise and acknowledge the contribution made by local people to the quality of life in Cashel and surrounding areas. The award is given to the person who in the opinion of the judging panel has contributed significantly to the social, cultural, sporting, artistic, spiritual or community life of Cashel and district over the last twelve months. While previous service or contribution to the quality of local life is a factor in the award, the focus is primarily on a significant contribution made by an individual in 2023.
The 2023 Cashel & Rosegreen Person of the Year is Breda Culleton.
