Cashel is today hosting a major Tourism Conference focused on developing and promoting the industry in Tipperary with the Cashel Palace the venue for the conference.
Delegates included hoteliers, restaurant owners, activity providers, Chamber of Commerce, public authorities, tour operators, educational establishments, caravan and camping park owners, tour guides and Tipperary Food Producers amongst others.
Caroline Rice, Tourism Development and Marketing Officer for Tipperary highlights that the future success of Tipperary Tourism depends largely on the collaboration of stakeholders across the industry – from public authorities, community groups, and tourism businesses, working with other stakeholders such as educators, development agencies, Tipperary County Council, Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland. Ms Rice also acknowledges the support from Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland for today’s event.
Paul Keeley, Director of Regional Development, Fáilte Ireland, emphasises the need for alternative, less saturated destinations, making Tipperary an ideal choice for those seeking authentic, family-friendly experiences in a safe and scenic environment.
Tipperary tourism providers work under the Time For Tipperary brand. Local people, businesses and communities across Tipperary are being encouraged to champion the brand by using the hashtag #TimeforTipperary
