Two brothers charged with assaulting a man in Tipperary town earlier this week, have been refused bail at Nenagh District Court.
Michael O’Dwyer, (30) and Joey O’Dwyer (36) appeared before Judge Adrian Harris yesterday. The brothers were both charged with assault causing harm to John O’Connor, on February 13, 2024, at Carrownreddy, Tipperary Town. Both men were also charged with producing a golf club during the incident while Michael O’Dwyer was also charged with producing a knife in the course of a dispute.
Bail was sought for both accused, but was refused by Judge Harris. Both defendants were remanded in custody to appear before Nenagh District Court again on February 22.
Mr O’Connor remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
