The Irish Cancer Society is looking forward to strong public support for Daffodil Day 2024 which takes place on Friday 22nd March.

Averil Power, CEO, Irish Cancer Society says the Society is a valuable support for anyone with a diagnosis of cancer and for families supporting a person with cancer.

The launch of the 2024 Daffodil Campaign took place in Croke Park on February 2nd with two representatives from county Tipperary in attendance.  Lucy Ryan from Cashel and Lulu Bergin met with Brendan Courtney on the day as MC’d the launch of this year’s fundraising campaign.

Ms Power says services such as free counselling, night nursing, and patient travel are made possible by fundraising and appealed to the public for their support in organising Daffodil Day events in their communities. The Irish Cancer Society also funds research and advocates for cancer survivors and changes in Government policy to aid the prevention of cancer.
