Drivers in Tipperary town are advised to exercise caution at the junction of Main Street(N24) and Bridge Street after the traffic lights and pedestrian crossing lights were damaged over the weekend.

The two poles may have been struck by a lorry or similar large vehicle causing the green light fixture to become loose. This is the light used by traffic heading west towards Limerick located outside A Class Above – Ladies Fashion store.  The light is now hanging below the fixture but continues to operate. The pedestrian signal light on Davis street has been turned 90 degrees and is no longer fully visible to road users. Tipperary town Garda are unaware of any RTC at the location in recent days that may have caused the damage.  The damage has been reported to Tipperary County Council Roads section and Transport Infrastructure Ireland
