Less than half of those who sat their Driving Test in centres in Tipperary were successful according to figures released by the Road Safety Authority.
In North Tipperary 49.4% passed their Driving Test in Nenagh and 48% passed in Thurles. The Driving Test Centre in Birr, which serves Roscrea and its hinterland, saw 53% of candidates granted their Full Driving Licence.
Clonmel recorded a 53% Pass rate, while the Centre in Tipperary Town saw 46.2% of driving test candidates pass the test.
The two Centres in Kilkenny recorded slightly better Pass results at 50.7% and 54.9%.
The highest Pass Rate in the country was logged in Skibbereen in Cork where 73.2% passed their Driving Test, while the lowest rate was in Charlestown in North Dublin at 38.2%.
The Road Safety Authority operates 60 test centres across the country. The data relates to the first ten months of 2023.
