Sinn Fein Candidates For Local Elections In South Tipp Revealed

Sinn Fein candidates for the Tipperary/Cashel electoral area have been announced.

Councillors Tony Black and Annemarie Ryan will represent the Republican party and contest next year’s local elections.

Cllr Tony Black  who has been a member of the party since 2008 says his priorities will be to speak up for those who need representation, by exerting pressure to improve services and infrastructure.

While Cllr Anne Marie Ryan (Shiner) says her focus has always been on meeting our social and economic needs through a process of local regeneration projects and representing the needs of our community.

Both councillors says that another priority is the progression of a bypass for Tipperary Town.

Other Sinn Fein representatives for South Tipperary include Cathal Ó hÉanna who was confirmed for the Cahir LEA, Dean McGrath was selected to run in the Clonmel LEA, while current councillor David Dunne was selected for the Carrick-on-Suir LEA.

Sinn Fein TD Martin Browne believes the county is calling for change adding that his party is answering that call by selecting the largest ever number of candidates to fill seats on Tipperary County Council.
