Level Of Gardaí In Tipperary Questioned By Cllr Roger Kennedy

A Fianna Fail councillor believes the level of Gardaí in the county is not adequate.

Roger Kennedy says Gardaí in Cashel and Cahir are overstretched with the area that they cover.

Cllr Kennedy says from speaking to Gardaí morale seems to be at an all time low and this is due to not being satisfied in their work or not having sufficient support.

The Cashel based councillor feels the new Garda model which means there’s now 3 new geographic areas in the county will not lead to progress and will impact Garda performance.

The Cashel Garda station is currently unmanned and is only accessible when Gardai are not out on call.
