Aherlow Intermediate Football team are awaiting confirmation of the venue for Sunday’s county final against Grangemockler Ballyneale.

The Tipperary County Board says the final will not be played as originally fixed for Semple Stadium. The stadium management committee made the decision after inspecting the ground

The final decision as to where the Barrett Cup Final will be held is to be made by the County Competitions Control Committee. Sean Everard had been appointed as referee for the fixture.

The county senior football final will go ahead at Semple Stadium on Sunday October 22nd.

Clonmel Commercials will take on JK Brackens with the Clonmel club seeking their 21st senior title. Teams from Templemore have won senior county football titles in 1925, 1936, 1943 and 1945 but JK Brackens have yet to see their name on the O’Dwyer Cup. The club was formed in 1992 by the amalgamation of Templemore Eire Og, Clonmore and Killea.  The game was set for 3.30pm when the Intermediate final at 2pm was to be held at Semple and for now this is the official start time.   Derek O’Mahoney is the referee for the senior football final.

Semple Stadium is also the venue for the replay of the Senior Hurling Final on October 29th between Thurles Sarsfields and Kiladangan with a 3pm throw in time.
