Met Eireann says a status yellow rain warning for all of Tipperary, Limerick, Clare, Kerry and Waterford and eight Leinster counties will come into effect at 6pm this evening and be in place until 6pm on Friday evening.
For county Cork the warning is at a higher Status Orange level and covers the same time frame – 6pm this evening until 6pm tomorrow.

The forecaster says from Thursday evening to Friday evening, persistent and heavy rain will lead to localised flooding, poor visibility and very difficult travelling conditions.
