Tipperary County Council To Hold September Meeting In Nenagh

Tipperary County council is to hold it’s September meeting in Nenagh on Monday next.  The busy agenda will see councillors consider 13 property disposals where council property is sold or leased to other parties. A five year lease of the Erasmus Smith House in Cahir  to   Farm Ed Ltd is one of the Section 183 Disposals to be considered on Monday.  Farm Ed Ltd currently provides the Green Cert Training for those in the Agriculture & Farming Sector.

Material amendments to the Roscrea Local Area Plan and the Draft Climate Action Plan for county Tipperary  2024 – 2029 will also be considered by the 40 Councillors. The monthly Management Report dealing with Roads, Planning, Emergency services, Library serves and the Finance section is also published today in advance of the meeting.

There is one motion in respect of council business on the agenda which calls for all fire hydrants in the county to be inspected and proposes that a suitable annual maintenance programme be established.

Councillors have also submitted a motion calling on the Minister for Finance Michael McGrath  to retain the 9% VAT rate until the end of  2024.
