Vigil Taking Place This Afternoon To Remember The Three Lives Lost In A Collision In Cashel

A vigil will take place this afternoon to remember the three lives lost following a collision outside Cashel.

The gathering will take place at 3pm at St John the Baptist Church on Friar Street in Cashel.

Tom and Bridget O Reilly and their grandson Tommy lost their lives on Tuesday night while two other adults remain in hospital with serious injuries.

The Cathaoirleach of Cashel District Declan Burgess says the community’s thoughts and prayers are with the entire O Reilly family at this devastating time.

Cllr Burgess is thanking Fr Endy Brady for his work in coordination this event.

Meanwhile Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact the investigation team.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Windmill Knockbulloge area near Cashel between 8.30pm and 9.15pm yesterday evening are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
