The organisers of the BANSHA Agricultural and Industrial show are reminding competitors that tomorrow Wednesday August 16th is the closing date for entries. The Show will be held on Wednesday August 23rd – this is the 65th time the hugely event will be held in the heart of Bansha village.
The event features a huge array of classes and displays. Ranging from cattle, horses, ponies, sheep, fruit displays, flower displays, farm produce, home crafts – such as baking, jam making or painting and also includes a bonny baby, children’s fancy dress and dog show competitions. In addition, a number of show jumping competitions will be held as well as an amateur photography competition. Full details can be found on the website www.banshashow.ie.
The mid-week event seeks to encompass all sections of the community both young and old and embody the concept of ‘One Happy Family’, as expressed by the late John Canon Hayes, founder of Muintir na Tire.
