Tipperary County Council Utility workers are to pause Industrial Action and return to work as a gesture of good will to restore water supply to the public.

It follows news that almost 45,000 customers in South and West Tipperary are on a low level water supply or are experiencing outages.

Confirming the news Independent TD Mattie McGrath says this decision shows the workers commitment to serve the people despite the lack of progess from the local authority.

Deputy McGrath and Cllr Máirin (maureen) McGrath are thanking workers for their good will.

Both public representatives are once again calling on LGMA and the local authority to engage with these workers in a meaningful way.

Water supply should gradually return to taps throughout the evening.
