The CBS Secondary School in Thurles has been approved for a major new development – the news has been welcomed by Tipperary TD Jackie Cahill.
The new development will comprise two new special education classrooms, a new Engineering room and four new general classrooms at the school situated close to the town centre on the Templemore road.
Deputy Cahill has also acknowledged the work done by school principal, Tiernan O’Donnell, and the Board of Management to progress the project.
The all boys school has 560 students at present. It was founded by two brothers -William and Thomas Cahill in 1816.
