A programme of exercise aimed at older adults is to commence at the Canon Hayes Recreation Centre.
The programme will take the form of light circuit training and is to commence on Thursday April 13th.
Circuit training is a form of body conditioning that involves endurance training, resistance training, high-intensity aerobics, and exercises performed in a circuit.
It targets strength building and muscular endurance. Activities will be tailored to the person’s abilities.
The sessions are scheduled for a time slot of 12.30pm to 1.30pm and will be led by Fiona Ward who was the Activator Pole walking instructor in previous exercise offerings. All of the sessions will be indoors. People are asked to register in advance at this link here or people can also contact Barry Mullane, Development Officer for Tipperary Town Community Sports Hub at the Centre – telephone 062 52022. The programme is supported by Tipperary Sports Partnership, and Tipperary County Council in collaboration with the Canon Hayes Recreation Centre.
