Chamber and council offices available by phone or email

The Co Tipperary Chamber of Commerce is still available to take questions from businesses experiencing challenges at the moment.

The chamber has closed its site office at Questum LIT. However, its board of directors is continuing to give guidance on the support available, as well as other advice.

Meanwhile, access to Tipperary County Council is limited to phone, email or post and by appointment only, where considered necessary.

Council staff is continuing to present for work to ensure a continuity of services across their key operations. General information on council services can be accessed online, and the council is asking members of the public to avail of the online and telephone facilities in the first instance in the interest of public health.

The council’s phone line is 0761 06 5000 and is open from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

The housing section will also continue to provide emergency repairs, housing assessments, Housing Assistance Payment and other supports and grants assessments.

The public is also being reminded that due to the changes many people are witnessing in their circumstances, such as income reduction (which many people are experiencing), changes to rents are also continuing to be administered, and it is advisable to take note of that.

Planning applications and third-party applications will also continue to be received, while the fire and emergency services will continue to respond to calls via the 999/112 system.

Parking matters, matter to do with burial grounds, grant applications, housing repairs requests, roads-related matters can also be dealt with over the phone or by email.

For those who wonder about paying their rent, payments can be made through the use of debit cards and other electronic means.
