Farmers are being advised of a series of dates for the collection of Farm Plastics in county Tipperary.
The venues will be open for materials from 9-5 pm on the specified date.
There are venues all across the county starting on August 15th and running until dates in September.
The service enables plastic materials such as silage covers to be collected and recycled using a service part funded by the plastic bag levy and fees paid by farmers.
The service is designed to provide for the proper disposal of plastic waste to recycle materials and to prevent emissions for disposal by burning the materials.
The organisers say it is very important that farmers provide the 6 digit label code on all Silage wrap/Sheets and Netting/Twine at bring-centres or when booking a farm collection, as this entitles them to significantly reduced collection fees.
Escalating fuel and energy costs caused by the war in Ukraine have recently significantly increased the fees charged.
