Snow Warning Issued For Co. Tipp

Met Éireann has issued a snow ice warning for all of Ireland.

The warning is to cover the period 3am tomorrow morning(Thursday) until 11pm tomorrow night.

The forecast is for rain, sleet and snow spreading northwards across the country later tonight and during Thursday accompanied by strengthening easterly winds.

Met Eireann says accumulations of snow are expected in many areas along with icy conditions – however sleet and snow in the southern part of the country is likely to turn to rain.

The public are warned of possible hazardous driving conditions, travel disruption

and poor visibility with potentially widespread icy stretches on roads and footpaths on Thursday night and Friday morning.
