Tipperary Garda continue to use technology to enforce laws around driving a vehicle on public roads. Members of the Tipperary Roads Policing Unit patrolling Templemore town were alerted to a vehicle with no insurance. The alert came from the Garda Mobility App.  When questioned the driver claimed to have insurance.

The speedy roadside access to vehicle records enabled the Gardai to verify that the driver was driving on a cancelled policy. It was also established that the driver never held a driving licence and there was no NCT or tax for the vehicle. The car was seized and the driver will face a future court appearance.
