Dedicated Phoneline Launches For Vulnerable Customers Moving Banks

Dedicated phonelines are to be brought into operation for vulnerable customers moving bank account.

The move comes as customers of Ulster Bank and KBC Bank of Ireland must open new accounts as both of these banks are to stop trading in Ireland next year.

To date in 2022 some 434,000 new accounts have been opened. 

As account opening activity increases, the body that represents Banks has published a  guide 

on moving account for customers in vulnerable circumstances and those helping them.

A copy of the guide, along with other information on moving bank account is available on BPFI’s movingaccount.ie website.

The dedicated vulnerable customer phoneline numbers for those who need additional support moving accounts are available on the movingaccount.ie website and will be available on Tipp Mid West Radio Website later today. 

There is a different number for each bank – AIB, Bank of Ireland, KBC Bank, Permanent TSB and Ulster Bank.
