Tipperary county council is accepting applications for the Christmas Retail Scheme until October 7th.
Grantees will be awarded a cash grant of between €300 and €3,000 to be spent on activities including advertising, promotions, street entertainment or other expenses for their Christmas events.
Emphasis is to be placed on projects and events that are hosted out-of-doors.
Versatile and innovative approaches will be favoured – the full criteria is listed on the application portal.
The council funds the scheme which is delivered in conjunction with the Tipperary Local Enterprise Office and supports Chambers of Commerce, Community Groups, Craft Markets, Farmers Markets and Trader Associations to provide events that boost footfall in the run up to Christmas.
The scheme aims to increase spending, or retain spending, in Tipperary’ towns and villages over the 2022 Christmas period.
