Tipperary Town Chamber of Commerce will host a Market at the refurbished Market yard in Tipperary Town today.
The Chamber hopes the market will lead to a revival of regular markets in the town centre location.
Today’s market will feature approximately 22 traders with a wide range of food and craft related produce.
Tipperary Food Producers group will also take part and provide a sample of the produce created by 11 of their members including Ayle Farm, My Tasty, Magners Farm, Irish Hedgerow, Crossogue Preserves and Rivesci.
The Food Producers group will also take part in Thurles Farmers Market tomorrow at the Greyhound Stadium and again in Thurles on Aug 6th.
The Tipp Producers group will also participate in two events in Cashel during the Summer as part of a pilot to examine how links can be made between Farmers Markets and the Tipperary Food Producers Group.
The market in the Tipperary Town Market yard today will run from 11am to 4pm.
