SEAI Funding Secured To Develop Tipp Town Energy Plan

342

Tipperary Town Task Force has secured funding from the SEAI to develop a town energy plan.

The action was identified as a potential area for employment generation, increased investment and improvements to the town’s building stock by the Energy Sub Group in 2021.

The project will now go out to tender to secure a service provider to develop the plan.

The Task force has also placed a call for tenders in respect of plans for the Dan Breen House complex on Davis Street.

The building is to be used for a Youth & Further Education & Training Centre.

The project is a collaboration between Tipperary County Council, Youth Work Ireland Tipperary, and Tipperary Education & Training Board, supported by the Task Force.

This tender is aiming to appoint an architect led design team for the overall project and has a closing date of August 2nd.

Funding for the design project has been provided by Tipperary county Council after the project failed to secure funding via the RRDF earlier this year.
