Almost 25% Of Patients On Trolleys Nationwide Are In UHL

453

113 patients are on a trolleys in University Hospital Limerick according to the INMO Trolley Watch.

UHL which caters for people in North Tipperary is by far the worst overcrowded hospital in the country.

6 people are without a bed in Tipperary University Hospital.

Nationally 416 people are awaiting a bed in hospitals.

The INMO Trolley Watch counts the number of patients who have been admitted to acute hospitals, but who are waiting for a free bed. These patients are often being treated on trolleys in corridors, but they may also be on chairs, in waiting rooms, or wherever there’s space. Elective services have been curtailed in Limerick  again this week in an effort to reduce the levels of overcrowding.
