More than €14,000 has been raised so far by Galtee Rovers GAA club following a very successful and unique fundraiser over the weekend.

Through the club’s Facebook page, people could watch over 150 people locally, nationally and internationally, take part in the 24-hour Wall Ball Marathon that was organised to give something back to our frontline healthcare workers at South Tipperary General Hospital.

The public can continue to donate to the cause until 5pm Friday by logging on to the gofundme page, by contacting a club member, or by checking out the Galtee Rovers’ Facebook page.

Speaking to Tipp Mid West Radio this morning, club Chairman, John Paul McCarthy said that the frontline workers can decide on the best way to spend the money raised.
