The Irish food awards operated under the Blas na hÉireann brand has now opened for entries. The competition plans to hold an in person awards ceromony in Dingle later this year after two years of remote judging and presentations.

Regarded by many as a key event in the Irish food industry’s calendar Blas nÉireann, is in it’s 15th year.

The blind-tasting judging system which was designed by The School of Food and Nutritional Science at U.C.C. under the supervision of Prof. Joe Kerry and the team at Blass is now recognised as an industry gold standard worldwide.

Producers, farmers, growers, bakers and artisan food makers who have won a Blas award testify to the value of the award as research has shown that the Blas accreditation has the highest recognition among Irish consumers.

An early bird entry fee is available until April 8th and the closing date for entries is 20th May 2022.
