Traffic Diversions In Cashel & Cahir This Friday

The local authority says traffic and pedestrian restrictions will be in place for two towns in Co. Tipperary this Friday.

In Cahir diversions will be in place from Castle Street and Bridge Street along the Mitchelstown Road to Tipperary Town Road and Butler’s Court towards Barnora.

These measures will be in place from 7.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.

Heavy traffic is expected in the vicinity of the town centre and there will be restricted public parking also.

In Cashel the following routes from town and the Rock of Cashel will be restricted including the following roads:

• R660 Boherlahan Road
• Ardmayle Road
• Boherlahan Road Roundabout / The Kiln
• R639 Old Dublin Road from M8 Junction 7 to Ladyswell
• Ladyswell Street
• Bohermore & Palmershill
• Moor Lane
• Rock Lane
• Collier’s Lane
• Dominic’s Street

Traffic and pedestrian restrictions will be in place from 7.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.

The council says access to Cashel will remain open via the Dundrum Road, Golden Road, Cahir Road, Clonmel Road and Dualla Road. Please use the M8 motorway junctions 8 and 9 to access Cashel town centre.

While no parking will be permitted on the Camus Road.
