After a two year absence parades and event are back across County Tipperary to celebrate the national day.

Tipp Mid West Radio is asking people to send in their photos from their local event and we’ll feature them on our website and Facebook page.

Staff and volunteers want to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable St Patrick’s Day.

Littleton Parade steps off at 10.30am – the theme is Ireland’s Independence

Cappawhite begins at 11.30am – Grand Marshall is Liam Hennessy of Setanta College

Templemore will host a musical celebration of St Patrick’s day at noon featuring members of Comhaltas, Clonmore Scor, Thomas McDonagh Pipe Band and Our Lady’s Musicians and Dancers

Cahir St Patrick’s Day parade will take place at noon.  The Parade will commence from the Cahir Business Park and the theme for 2022 is “ a feel good factor”.

Carrick on Suir parade will feature Carrick on Suir Brass band and Carrick on Suir Flute Band. It starts at 2pm leaving the library car park and traveling up New St, Main Street, Kickham St, N24, returning to New Street to the Town hall carpark. Entertainment and DJ after the parade.

Killaloe/Ballina Parade – Starts at 2.30pm

Clonmel parade  will start at 3pm and follow the usual route through the town centre. Danny Carroll, Clonmel’s Mr Music Man, is the grand marshal for the parade.

Roscrea parade will commence at 3.30pm

The Thurles St. Patrick’s Parade committee have asked Cruthaigh  to put together a livestream  of Thurles music, art, stories, comedy, dance and more to present live on March 17th. The Livestream will begin at 2pm.

Cashel will host a St Patrick on the Plaza event. The event will commence at 1pm and run until 6.30pm. Musical entertainment will feature Comhtaltas, Seanie Ryan, Wig Wam Glam Band, Cashel Pipe Band, Cashel Brass Band and street entertainers.  Cashel Lions Club will name their Cashel person of the year on March 16th and subject to availability this person will be the Grand Marshall for the St Patrick on The Plaza event.

Nenagh will host a St Patricks Day celebration on the historic grounds of Nenagh Courthouse featuring a large outdoor stage and festival market.

The main concert stage will feature musicians, bands, dancers and live performances of all shapes and sizes. Gates open at 12.00 pm with live entertainment beginning at 12.30pm until 6.00pm. Admission is completely free and all are welcome. Tom Bán will be Master of Ceremonies in Nenagh

Tipperary town will host a family fun day in the Market Yard area to run from 12.30pm until 3.30pm. A group of people from Ukraine will be special guests at the event which will feature an extensive musical entertainment programme. Food offerings, children’s activities  and representatives of first responder agencies will also feature. Drivers are reminded that the Market Yard Car Park will be closed from midnight on March 16th to facilitate set up for St Patrick’s Day. Management  at the Bank of Ireland have made their car park available to the public. Management at Aldi say that vehicles will be clamped in their car park if left for extensive periods of time.

Ballylooby Community Council will hold their parade on Friday March 18th  at 12 noon led by the CJ Kickham pipe band
