Arrest made and €6000-worth of drugs seized at house in Clonmel

An arrest has been made and €6000-worth of drugs seized during a garda operation in Co Tipperary.

At around 2pm yesterday, gardai from the Clonmel Divisional Drugs Unit, assisted by the Regional Dog Unit and the Armed Support Unit, executed a search warrant at a house in the Cooleens Close area of Clonmel.

In the course of the search gardaí seized suspected amphetamines, cocaine, cannabis herb and cannabis resin which are now due to be sent for analysis.

A woman, aged in her 50s, was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Clonmel Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
