Gardaí are warning people of a scam that is being attempted around Tipperary town and surrounding areas.
Gardaí have received reports of people calling to houses offering to disinfect the homes of people concerned about Covid-19.
Gardaí say it is a scam and are advising homeowners not to allow these people in.
Gardai are aware of an instance in one Tipperary village in which an elderly person handed those responsible for the scam hundreds of euro.
A silver car may have been used at the time.
Tipperary town gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have any information to contact them.
