Six animal welfare organisations in Co Tipperary have received funding from the Department of Agriculture.
In total €86,000 has been approved for the organisations concerned.
Cappanagarrane Horse Rescue in Mullinahone is to receive €6,000.
Great Hounds in Need in Clonmel is getting €2,000.
€14,000 has been approved for Mo Chara Animal Rescue, Thurles.
PAWS Animal Rescue in Mullinahone will benefit from €45,000 in funding while Roscrea SPCA will receive €18,000 and The Haven Rescue in Roscrea will get €1,000 in funding.
The announcement has been welcomed by Deputy Michael Lowry.
