Tipperary TD Alan Kelly has voiced his concerns over a deal by the Irish Greyhound Board to sell the Harold’s Cross Stadium in Dublin to the Department of Education.
The stadium was closed in February due to financial circumstances, but Deputy Kelly maintains that the industry, in general, is being ‘run into the ground’ and has pointed out that the board could have pursued the sale of a portion of the site and still could have kept the stadium open.
He has called again for the board to step down.
