The Annual Progress Report for the South Tipperary Development Company was launched today at the site of one the businesses it help to get off the ground.
The event is taking place at Caravantasia in Crohane, Killenaule.
Caravantasia is a niche camping site located on a 23-acre farm.
At today’s event STDC outlined how, in 2014, it provided and facilitated training and education in South Tipperary through programmes like the Rural Development Programme, the Rural Social Scheme and the Traveller Health Care Programme to mention a few
.
The infrastructural projects it was involved with were also be highlighted.
Members also outlined today how, in 2014 STDC assisted 58 people to secure employment; it supported 29 individuals to establish their own businesses; training and education opportunities were provided to 1,296 people, while work experience placements were provided to 246 people.
