Police are saying that the man who was seen talking to Karen Buckley outside a Glasgow nightclub on the night she went missing is not being treated as a suspect.
24 year-old Karen who is from Mourneabbey near Mallow in Co Cork, and has close connections to Galbally, went missing after last being seen at around 1am on Sunday morning when she left The Sanctuary nightclub on Dumbarton Road in Glasgow.
At a new conference this afternoon Detective Superintendent Jim Kerr of the Major Investigations Team said that they believed they had found her handbag in a park this afternoon.
They have also said that the man who was seen on CCTV footage with her as she left the nightclub has been identified and is not a suspect.
They say Ms Buckley went with this man to an apartment after leaving the nightclub and she left the apartment at 4am on foot.
A Facebook page ‘Please Help Find Karen Missing in Glasgow has been set up in which her family is appealing to people to look for her.
Karen is 24 years old, 5’3, 8 and a half stone with black hair, styled curly and long on the night she went missing.
