It is unclear if former PR advisor to Michael Lowry, Valerie O’Reilly will be reappointed to the board of the National Transport Authority after it emerged that her term of office on the board concluded last Sunday.
Ms O’Reilly came to public prominence recently after a note emerged in which Deputy Lowry suggested to the Taoiseach that she be reappointed to the board.
In that note, Mr Lowry referred to her as “bright, intelligent and not bad looking either”.
There are six vacancies on the NTA board at present. The Transport Minister Pascal Donohoe said that all vacancies will be filled in the normal way by the Public Appointments Process.
