Kilkenny has been named Ireland’s most litter-free town by the Irish Business against Litter League.
Kilkenny beat Cavan, Longford, and Tramore who were also in contention for the accolade which was announced this lunchtime.
More locally Co. Tipperary fared particularly well in the latest results.
Clonmel has been designated “Cleaner than European Norms” by coming 9th out of the 40 towns and cities surveyed.
Tipperary Town has improved its ratings and now comes in at 24th place, being designated “Clean to European Norms”.
