Irish show jumping team miss out for Rio Olympic games.

Despite a good performance by Tipperary show jumper Denis Lynch yesterday the Irish show jumping team have narrowly missed out on qualifying for the rio olympic games.

The team, consisting of Denis Lynch, Darragh Kenny, Bertram Allen and Cameron Hanley moved up to seventh place overall with a clear round achieved by the Tipperary rider yesterday at the world Equestrian Games in Normandy.

However Ireland needed a sixth place to ensure qualification.

Although the team has missed on team qulifications, Lynch who came 19th, Allen who came 20th and Kenny who came 24th all qualify for the first round of the Individual Finals on Saturday.
