An issue will come under discussion today at the Irish Medical Organisation’s Anual Conference that could, if progressed, address the high numbers of people recorded on trolleys at A&E department of South Tipperary General Hospital.

The organisation’s delegates are due to join in a call for a six-hour limit to be put on trolley stays at emergency departments.

Today the number of people on trolleys at South Tipperary General Hospital is 10 but in recent weeks the figures have exceeded 20 on some occasions.
