Improvements to local services

€874,225 is to be spent on improvements to the water supply and also on the small sewage scheme in Tipperary.

€449,500 will be spent on the small sewage scheme in Dundrum, Lisvernane and Kilsheelan, while €424,725 will be spent on water improvements in Dundrum, Graigue, Cordangan, Crotty's Lane and Linguan in Carrick on Suir.

Making the announcement, Fine Gael TD Tom Hayes said that at a time when tough decisions are being made about cuts to public expenditure it is important that such an investment can still be brought to Tipperary and be spent on improving local services and infrastructure.

This investment also follows confirmation that €2.5 million will be spent on the Fethard Regional Water scheme
