A manhunt is underway in the US State of Florida after a Co. Tipperary Man was shot dead as he tried to stop a robbery at his place of work
Tom Walshe of Templemore was gunned down by the robber at the Main Street Grill near Daytona Beach late on Saturday night.
The fugitive made off with around $3,000.
Mr. Walshe is believed to have been alone at the restaurant he was manging at the time of the shooting.
Arrangements are now being made to have Mr. Walshe’s remains returned home for his funeral.
