Action Plan for Jobs

Fine Gael TD for South Tipperary, Tom Hayes, has said that the Action Plan for Jobs launched by the government today contains what he says are progressive measures that will help get South Tipperary back to work.

Deputy Hayes maintains that the Action Plan will make it cheaper and easier to do business and to create jobs by supporting existing Irish businesses and new start-ups while at the same time helping to attract inward investment from overseas.

A key element of the plan is to replace County Enrerprise Boards with a micro enterprise support structure that is designed to make applications more direct. A Partial Credit Guarantee Scheme and the Micro Finance fund are being set up to help businesses struggling to get loans.

Deputy Hayes is hopeful that the plan will encourage firms in County Tipperary to more easily access credit and to sell their products abroad more readily.
